Don't listen to R & B as much as I use to because I felt like it's been watered down but I recommended Robin Thicke's new album. I thought it would be garbage but it's pretty good minus his uptempo songs IMO. Any recommedations?

All 10 of Brian McKnight's albums. His new one is as good as his others. I am a B McKnight junkie and have flown all over whenever he is on tour. I think I am a groupie but he still hasn't taken me back to his hotel room.

LOL Brian McKnight is alright. One of my favorite songs by him is Let Me Love You or I think that's what it called but you hardly hear it because of his other radio hits. When did he come out with a new album Clip?

Check out a cat named Eric Roberson and his album The Vault 1.5. If you like B. McKnight, you'll love this album even though he's more Neo-Soul than R & B. Best R & B album I've heard in the past couple of years.

I'm gonna check out that Anthony Davis song with India Arie. I don't know who he is but I like India Arie. You got some pretty good artist up there but some up there I'm not feeling like Rihanna. Cute girl minus the forehead but can't sing a lick IMO. Nicole S. is that the chic from the Pussycat Dolls if so  Don't like her music but the girl is fine! She might as well break away from that group because she has a lot of duets with artist throughout music right now. Waiting to see what R.Kelly has in store. I like the song he has with Snoop.

Neyo is pretty underrated. Great voice and great songwriter.

Brian McKnight's album came out about 2 weeks ago...it is call Ten.

I was a little disappointed it didn't include a song he is doing with Jill Scott. I heard him sing it live at a private session filmed for TV and it was suppose to be on the album. It makes me think there will be another version released in a month or two to boost sales.

Jill Scott is the shit. She did a duet with McKnight huh? I've been wondering where she's been. How does the song sound?

anthony davis sounded like Darius Rucker to me in that song.

i'm surprised you think Rhianna sings like crap..she's had a good 3 or 4 songs out there. now Cassy (Me & You)....i thought she sounded terrible live.

one R&B singer i like a lot is Craig David from the UK. first album was tight.
the ones after not as good, but there are some good cuts on them (key to my heart, hypnotic, world filled with love). not sure if he has anything new coming out.

tevin campbell supposed to have a new cd out this year. that would be interesting...

Craig David disappeared from the music scene here in the States, is he still active in the U.K.? As far as Rihanna, maybe I give her a hard way to go because I think much of the R & B today is bubble gum-ish and I think she leads the pack.

Go2, just like any other genre you're going to have to look for it because the radio will NOT play it.

Rahsaan Patterson is probably one of the most underrated in the R and B business.
Amy Winehouse has an amazing voice and even has a remix with Ghostface on her album. She also has some of the realist lyrics in the industry right now. She doesn't get much shine in the states so you're going to have to "acquire" her stuff of buy an import.
Goepele has two solid albums out and shes from the Bay area.

Other artists: Bilal, Dwele, Kindred the Family Soul, Amel Larrieux (her stuff is kinda hit or miss), Floetry, DC native Raheem Devaughn, actually Van Hunt's 1st album was soulful (Down in Hell with you), and Kem.

Wow i must be getting old because I remember B. McKnight with Take 6.

Nah, I just like good music brah. Actually I forgot to mention I enjoyed Mary's album even though its a little old.

I read a review on her saying the 1st album Amy put out is something Lauren Hill wanted to make.

Which reminds me L-Boogie needs to drop something immediately.

BETJ plays a lot of those artists. Also Suite 62 on XM Satellite (ch 843 directv) plays a few of them. not sure about Amy Winehouse...I havent heard of her before

Love RP's music.....You Make Life So Good from the Brown Sugar soundtrack is one my favorites...

also, i dont think Brian was ever a member of Take 6. his brother Claude was.
